Earlier this year I had a crack in the swing arm of my 2011 HiFi. Trek replaced it, but it's from a superfly 100 pro. The color doesn't match, but the geometry is the same. Fortunately I was still under labor warranty at the shop so I didn't have any out of pocket expense (other than travel to Asheville).

I heard you that time. I'll be there. I might try to get over to the mtoe back door also.

I got this. Go ahead and set them up for me with XX1 free hub. Nothing flashy - black hubs will be fine.

Also, +1 on the Stihl. My wife bought one and its a beast, but she won't let me use it to do trail work. I have to use my P.O.S. Poulan for that.

This is relict trillium - a plant that is on the federal endangered species list, but is quite common along the bluffs of the savannah river in this area.

The City has had to close a portion of the Greeneway, just north of Riverview Park between the Activities Center and Cypress Drive. There is a massive slope failure where a creek crosses under the trail that is threatening the trail. The closure is indefinite at this time while we figure out a fix for the source of the problem, then fill & reinforce the embankment. This will be a major inconvenience for alot of trail users. There is a ride-around option throught the adjacent neighborhood (or a very primitive trail on the river bluff, or bushwhack down the powerline).

My goal for Snake #3 is to look a little happier in these pictures. I really was having fun. p.s. If you look closely at my helmet you can see the layer of ice on it!

I don't know if its been reported already, but on Sunday there was a pile of dead animals (beaver and fox) in the north parking lot. I don't mind picking up trash but... Anyway, I don't know if the park service would take care of this or what.

Goretex socks over wool. Neoprene boots for the first half, leave them in a bag at SAG 1.

Apparently I was doing the robot dance at Modoc (in the 2nd pic) I don't remember that. Long day.

Photo from last Sunday. Not a great pic and not as much color as last year, but you get the idea.

Angela, someone else had sent me the link to your video and I just watched it. It is just what I was looking for. I am helping to lead a mobile workshop at the Georgia-Carolina Bike Summit on the Greeneway and other bike facilities in North Augusta, providing engineering design and construction perspective. The video shows the overall character of the Greeneway better than a photo slideshow. Thanks.

I don't know why anyone would have it, but I'm looking for video of riding along the Greeneway. Does anyone out there have some, or would be willing to record some within the next few days?

I don't know if anyone noticed or cares that BD riders were cutting the switchback at the start of section 5 just after crossing the road. There was a well-defined trail there by the end of the day. I'm sure with lack of use it will cover over quickly. Maybe something should be put there to block continued use though?

Rode there today. It's definitely worth the trip. We even rode into a small herd of wild pigs.

You need to get your priorities straight. There's nothing better than a cold shower after a long hot day on the saw.
