FATS is still under official closure by the USFS due to wet trail conditions. There has been approximately 5 inches of rain in the month of January alone and the rain continues to cycle through keeping groundwater high and seeps active along the trails. This coupled with dormant foliage and cooler temperatures has slowed the drying time considerably. Stay tuned for updates. Please do not access the closed trails. Thank you! Go to Lick Fork (Horn Creek). A few trees down, but great condition otherwise (NO MUD). The winter parking lot gate is open.

Yes, thank you Lamberts. Unfortunately, last week storms brought down a fresh batch of trees across the trail. They are all within the first 4 miles. One super-size oak at about 3.7 mile.

No, just one guy and a handsaw Thanks John for being a constant reminder that one or two people working independently can accomplish a lot towards routine trail maintenance. It doesn't require teams, specialized equipment, or waiting for an invitation to join an organized work party. Just some time and a desire to make a difference.

Took a little hike with the Fam. We started at mile 5 and went to mile 4. I expected the dips to be muddy but they were in surprisingly good shape. The mile of trail we walked looked good. One of the worst dips has had an improvement which should help with the mud in the bottom. New mile markers look nice! Yes, Turkey is in GREAT condition. It is THE trail to ride right now. Rode the new ditch grate yesterday and appreciate the effort made to carry it in. Hopefully it will stay put.

Did wine/turkey yesterday and they are in great shape and the fall colors are in full swing. Such a great trail, shame no one really rides it anymore. Yes, Wine creek is as good as it gets right now.

If anyone's wondering, Mistletoe is all clear. No evidence at all of the storm that wrecked the campground. Go ride it.

Found a black Bell Velocity helmet in the parking lot @ FATS. Put it on the back of the kiosk at the trailhead.

Wow! Obviously a ton of work on the trails over the past year & recently mowed. Everything is in great shape right now. I just wish the signage/directional markers were a little better for those who don't ride here often. Thanks Greenwood MTB.

Lost count too - maybe 13. Anyway, they're all clear now. Trail is good to go, but getting grown up quickly. Maybe good to get a mowing scheduled before more trees fall.

1 bridge might be able to be temporarily reset (until the creek bank erodes further). The other bridge will require a near total rebuild. The main girders are broken - it won't span the gap.

Tried to do a work/recon ride on W.C. Started at the Hwy 283 end. Made it about 2 miles to the "big dip", but it was too slick-muddy to get up the other side, so I turned around. Anyway, there was alot of debris washed up on the trail the whole way, which I have never seen up on that end, plus 8 or 9 trees that need a chainsaw. Cleared what I could by hand saw. From what I saw, I'm guessing the lower end is probably much worse.
