Bartram Trail has received 2 inches of rain over the last six days. Please help protect our singletrack and do not ride wet trails.

Due to wet trail conditions, the USFS, Long Cane Ranger District, has implemented an official closure at FATS. This is the real deal and applies to all trail users (bikers, runners, hikers, walkers, etc.). We don't know how long the closure will last, but for every day that it rains, FATS will remain closed that much longer.
Edit: For those who like to track details, the updated/correct Order Number is FM-14-02.

We are pleased to introduce SORBAcsra and Andy Jordan's co-branded water bottles available only at Andy Jordan's Bicycle Warehouse. Importantly, 100% of the proceeds from each and every one of these water bottles goes directly to SORBA-CSRA and will support our trail maintenance and advocacy efforts in the CSRA. Thank you to Drew for approaching us with this fundraiser and gettin' 'er done. These are the 22oz Specialized Purist water bottles with a WaterGate cap and you can find more details at Andy Jordan's Bicycle Warehouse

Word on the street is that Mistletoe is now clear, including a few trees that have been down since last August. Thanks to MH and his peeps for making this happen before our Explore the Trail Ride on March 8th.

FYI: We just received word from the US Army Corps of Engineers that a short, but necessary, section of Keg Creek Trail (ccw from the trailhead to past the first bridge) is located within the easement for bridge construction, road, and mitigation work. So, technically, that short section of trail is closed until bridge construction is complete in December 2016.
I don't know if this section of trail will be blocked off by the Corps, but don't be surprised if the trail is impassible with construction debris. We will be working with the Corps and construction contractors to ensure that the trail is fully restored upon completion of the bridge/road construction project.
Thank you for your support.

Any updates for this weekend? Haven't been out there, but I wouldn't be optimistic.

Website says this. "FATS is too wet to ride. Please ride one of our old school trails - such as Keg Creek, Mistletoe, or Modoc. " I drove past FATS yesterday and you literally couldn't get another car in the parking lot. It was like opening day. We're working to improve the "call before you haul" line to include, in addition to "officially open" or "officially closed" messages, an intermediate message something like "trails are too wet to ride - go somewhere else". I wish I could blame all the traffic on out-of-towners, but have heard of many locals riding at FATS lately.

is there a course map for this? how long will the race be in may 2015? thanks wayne SORBAcsra is not involved with designing the race route for 2015/16 and, in fact, we don't know the race route yet. You should contact USA Cycling or the Columbia County CVB ( Randy DuTeau is the Director) for updated information on the race route. Thanks and good luck.
