I was gonna say that but opted for the Wine answer instead. Now I'm doubting myself.

Hahaha...you guys crack me up! I am enjoying this a lot! Okay now let's see, we've had Horn Creek, Keg Creek and Wine Creek as guesses, but I have to say in spite of how much this one looks like it ought to be on one of these trails...it isn't.
Keep trying...you're getting warm! JL

Good guess John but remember something I said in an earlier post...this one is located at one of our "old school" trails. It's been around for quite awhile now.
But thanks for playing!

I think that's the beauty of this game. No matter how long you've been riding, it's just hard to recognize everything out there. Combine all our local trails with all other trails one has ridden and they all start to look alike. In defense, Baker Creek isn't "Old School". It's one of the oldest "New Trails" we have and likely the least ridden of all the trails.
Isn't that creek crossing rideable? Maybe there should be a "Creek Crossing Clinic"?

You are correct in that Baker Creek isn't "Old School". I don't think I said it was. But the trail where this picture was taken is. Or at least that is how I have heard others refer to it. Take another look and consider all the incorrect guesses that have been made so far and you might come up with the answer. Hint: Several people rode this trail within the last month or two... Be safe!

Here's another picture of the same trail feature. If you look close you might see a couple of clues to reveal its location. Thanks for playing!

Hmmmm....well it looks like this one has been too tough for our riders to identify so I'll let you in on where it is located.
This little waterfall is located on the Long Cane Horse Trail and is located between the gasline and Fell Hunt camp. Maybe 100 to 200 yards past the gasline towards Fell at the creek crossing.
LCHT was the site of our Explore the Trails Series Ride for the month of May. I was hoping that some of the folks who participated in that might remember seeing this one and snatch up the prize. So if you get a chance to ride this great trail, keep an eye out for this little waterfall.
The photos were provided by our website administrator, Doug King, who has promised to be my trail guide when I make it up to LCHT for a ride later this summer. From what I've heard about it, I think it will be an enjoyable and memorable ride. So thanks Doug for providing the pictures for our game and offering a challenge for our riders to identify! Remember...if you have photos you'd like to see in the game, just send them to me and I'll fit them in.
With that said, I'll be posting another trail feature for you to identify very soon. And this time, I'll pick one that everybody on the forum can and should be able to identify to make up for posting a tough one. Noooooo...it's not going to be a picture of the FATS parking lot! That way it will be a race to see who gets online and reads the thread first!
Thanks for playing! JL

Okay everybody take a look at this one! I'm pretty sure this will be a quickie. I have always enjoyed riding past this little spot and have smiled every time I see it. I especially love the old golf shoe in the collage! (That's French for collection of stuff) And who knows how many different animal skulls there are in this pile! You know the drill...name the trail and the location on that trail and the prize will be yours. The prize this time will be that cool set of WTB handlebar grips Dustin offered up a short while back. To claim your prize, meet me (& Dustin) at the July SORBA-CSRA Monthly Meeting July 14 th at Nacho Mama's. Be safe! JL

DING!! DING!! DING!!!! You got it JP!! I figured this one wouldn't take very long as just about anybody who's ridden FATS has passed this at some time. I don't know who put the arrangement together but I have always enjoyed it!
For correctly identifying this trail feature's location, you win that cool set of WTB handle bar grips offered up by Dustin. I think this is your second win if I remember correctly. I'll see you at the July meeting to award your prizes.
I'll be posting another trail feature soon so keep your eyes on this thread and you too could win a prize if you can correctly identify its location in our "How Well Do You Know Your Trails?" game!
Thanks for playing! JL

This was an easy one. I'll only except one of my winnings. I will keep the socks and give up the grips. If I switch grips, I think I'll go with the ergos.

Roger on that JP! We'll put the grips back in the prize bucket and use them for a later feature.
Thanks!
