Ditto. My brother, David (the random red-haired fast dude...) and I had a great time! He is okay...MCG said he hadn't broken anything, just some bad bruising. My only regret not being in condition to make it to the end....that is a MONSTER of a route I would also like to thank the volunteers! Well done! Great idea, Bill

If I were you, unless I had a shuttle lined up I'd consider blowing off Horn Creek and just start at Key Bridge. Do Wine as an out and back and then the connector of Turkey to Modoc as an out and back as well. That'll net you 50+ miles with a minimum of pavement and gravel I think.

Or...you could top off the 49er route by riding the road back to Lick Fork. That could be your "cool down"
