Handful of trees down between 1.0 and about 2.1 miles, rest of trail is clear. A couple new riders are down.

I fought the nettle and briars but turned around at the 5 mile mark. Cut 3 trees and a number of riders remain. The bridge after the whoops, which has a down-hill approach, lost its ramp, so be careful. Trail is pretty clear up to the rest stop before the whoops.

Pilcher and I finished cutting trees today; a couple riders were left. I believe Mark Hanna cut a bunch last week. The hornets found John at the last tree... New trail is very nice- needs wheels. Some parts have become a little trickier in the last year- rock garden, for example. Very fun trail now.

Banks, Pilcher, and I cleaned Modoc tonight. Burned a whole tank of gas on 3 cuts on the big tree; JP said it was a hickory?

trees down: 2 on double track back door; 2 on single track back door; turn right on trail (ccw) for 2 within the next mile or so; turn left for about 9 trees before the rock dam; 2 below the ranger house; none are very big and no tree top messes. Back door single track needs some TLC. Trail was still lots of fun tonight. JP can jump in with any corrections.

Trail in good shape today. I can tell there has been a fair amount of traffic. Non riders at 1.1, 3.5, and 3.9 miles. Some areas look like a roto-tiller has been through, I presume damage is from wild hogs.

Trail was in very good shape Thursday night (1/12). Only tree that needs cutting is near the 4 mile post. Thanks to Banks and John P for cutting trees last weekend. We rode the loop to ensure the back door and FS roads were clear, which they are.

The trail is a disaster where timbering occurred close to the trail, about mile 22-23. Best way to get around it is go through the creek, which is totally dry. Rest of trail has a dozen or so non-riders, but most step overs.

Trail still in pretty good shape; about 3 non riders down on the trail and a couple on the back door access. Some of the creek crossings were as dry as I have seen them in a long while.

Last night, Wine was in great shape, it missed all the pop-ups, and the creek crossing was completely dry. Not sure if it has ever been that dry. Fun trail.

trail in good shape; areas not mowed are okay; you can squeak by the places where the trail was taken out by fallen tree root ball; the "bridge" that burned on the 3 mile hill is off to the side and it appears there was no reason for it; we'll find out during the wet season.

Rock Dam trail is clear of non riders. Tricky spots are a little trickier with the erosion / roots.

Rode to the bad bridge (about 5 miles); trail in surprisingly good shape. Also surprised to see 7 cars at the white WMA gate when I got back. Glad to see Keg still getting some use. Two non-riders: 20 yards past the 18 mile mark (very beginning) and 150 yards past the road creek crossing. Parts of the trail need lopping/mowing already.

Modoc is clean to the bottom of the 3-mile hill. Some rider trees have been left. Some trees still smoldering after the burn and new green grass is already popping up. Interesting scenery right now.

The closest is probably FATS. Use the "MTB Project" app on your smartphone for trail maps. Look on the sorba-csra home page for any recent comments about FATS or on the forum- each trail has its own section for comments.

Trail is clear to mile 5; some larger trees left that are "Banks" riders. Five trees to cut yet to the end, though they are easy walk-overs or -arounds. Only small stuff on the trail up to the forest service road.

First 2.5 miles still in good shape. About 10 trees down between the 2.5 and the 4 mile marker, mostly big trees, some tree tops.

Modoc is good to about 2.5 miles, cut about 10 trees. Minor cleaning is still needed in some spots. Banks may post some pictures later.
