Took a little hike with the Fam. We started at mile 5 and went to mile 4. I expected the dips to be muddy but they were in surprisingly good shape. The mile of trail we walked looked good. One of the worst dips has had an improvement which should help with the mud in the bottom. New mile markers look nice!

Rode the new ditch grate yesterday and appreciate the effort made to carry it in. Hopefully it will stay put.

Thought about taking some 2ft rebar, bending it in the middle, then driving it in a couple places. The water shouldn't (hopefully) take them very far.

Rode Turkey and Wine yesterday and realized that Turkey needed some cutting within a few miles of the 617A trailhead so we went out this morning and cut. Should be perfect now but will need a DR in probably a month. Wine is a mess but I'll post that under the Wine section. Anyway, here are few pics of the biggest stuff: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After:

Turkey Creek is in the best condition of any trail in our area right now.

The growth to either side of the trail on Turkey is rough now. I started at the forest road end today and I gave it up and turned around 2 miles in. Felt like most of it was blackberries. :-)

I fought the nettle and briars but turned around at the 5 mile mark. Cut 3 trees and a number of riders remain. The bridge after the whoops, which has a down-hill approach, lost its ramp, so be careful. Trail is pretty clear up to the rest stop before the whoops.

Couple trees down btwn mile post 3 and 3.5. Large messy tree top across at the 1mp, not far past the gate. Dry all the way.
