We'll have a workparty on October 25. Meet at P'burg trailhead at 9:00. We'll install new decking and hardware cloth on 18 and 25 foot stringers and remove the old stuff as well as decomission 2 other bridges. All are very close together. We'll take a shortcut in to the bridge location (10 min walk) and meet a COE boat that is bringing the materials. Need 2 more wheelbarrows and a few hammers, crow bars and a couple of cordless screwdrivers.

Depending on the turnout, we may have a few folks in parallel with the main task try to reset the partially washed out Boy Scout built bridge east of the P'burg parking area.
Be sure to wear orange (or some bright color - but not white!!) as it's the hunting season.

Good turnout today with 12 folks working 5 bridges. Two had deteriorating planks changed out & installed hardware cloth; two were decommissioned and the one washed out bridge was reset. Due to a last-minute shortage in COE personnel, their boat was unavailable but they substituted a 4-wheeler with first rate driver. Thanks to all!

Thanks to all who showed and put in sweat equity. Your work makes a great difference. Really looking forward to showing off the new addition at the Bikefest.
