Annual trek north. Staying at HK Sat. 7/15 - riding 3 loops Sat. afternoon / early evening. Heading north to Hendersonville, but back to HK on Monday 7/17 - riding 3 loops Monday afternoon / evening. Then planning FATS or Wine / Turkey for the day Tuesday. Depending on conditions - may stay `till Wed. (likley).
Welcome a ride bud(s) - I'm old geek - but ride fast and technically capable. Plan to do 15 - 30 miles (again, on conditions) and average 10+ on the local trails here in Fl. land...... (Riding `06 SC BLT)
CSRA has a great network of trails & good org. If I lived there (again), I'd be out there cutting & raking with ya.....
So - watch for `da rattlers... huh ! We have `em here too....... another story, anorther time......
Best, Ron

I'd stay closer to FATS and go to HKSP one of the days. And ride the USFS trails all the other days in the CSRA. I'd only ride Wine/Turkey if it gets mowed. I'd imagine they are pretty thick and that can be miserable. I'd ride FATS with ya and give you the grand tour. But my schedule isn't looking good for what you got going. I am riding FATS Saturday 7/15 in the morning (to beat the heat) with a local and a cat from KY. I could maybe could do an evening ride at FATS on Tuesday. If I was you, I would go straight to FATS. Don't pass go, don't collect $200.

Thanks for the heads up on Wine / Turkey.
Weather looks good, but just as hot as here. Least we're accustomed to it ......
Tuesday's day at FATS will roll into Wed. if I find it as good as I read it is....
On the road north.......

Well, my luck......
Trip went well, and we enjoyed HK as usual. Nice break from the technical stuff we focus on... HK trails in great shape (normal amount of downed trees on Lakeview to stop the flow).... but no complaints.
Heat, on the other hand - kept us from daytime rides at FATS. We ride regularly in 92-96 with humidity, but our trip timing hit your 102 - 103 readings (McCormick), with same humidity..... we wimped.
Early AM rides (6 - 9 AM) at HK sensational. Time trials on Turkey really a blast.......
Rest of our rides, we rescheduled for Brevard, NC trails.
Heading back your way this Sunday afternoon / Monday. Riding HK dusk Sunday....... overnight again.
Hope you all appreciate your trails - great job - certainly an enjoyment for those of us coming out of the "quarries" - for some relaxed riding.......
