Hey, I was just wondering if there are any weekly XC group rides and or a partner to ride with. Thanks Charlie Mooney Charliem@hcor.net

Hey Charlie, There aren't really any regular organized XC rides around, but there are lots of people who ride on a regular basis. You can post a ride on this site and should be able to get a response. Don't feel bad if you don't get a reply. Lots of people look, but nobody responds. If you just want to take a chance and run into people, your best bet is to meet at the FATS parking lot on any Friday afternoon. There are usually 3-6 cars out there at any given time. The only other thing you can do if you don't do it already is to come to the meetings at Nacho Mama's every month.

I agree with the comment about Nacho Mama's. We usually have a pretty good turnout.
As far as people reading but not posting, well, that's pretty much the nature of forums. It is not uncommon for a thread on Mtbr.com to have 1500 views and only 10-20 comments. Same thing on the Ford forum I hit. Nothing to take personal. It (the thread and OP) either hits a nerve and makes you want to comment, or it doesn't.

Thanks for the reply. Is the FATS trail system near the parking lot of the old tower trail system? Can you access the trails from Fury's Ferry Rd?
I'm thinking about going on a ride out there tomorrow if anyone wants to attend.

Take Fury's Ferry across the bridge into South Carolina and then take the first paved road to the right (maybe a mile or so) which is Hopewell Church Road. Follow it to the end then turn right (you'll be on Woodlawn). Just about as quickly as you make that right turn turn again onto the gravel inlet to the parking lot for the FATS trail. Then get on your bike and be prepared to be thrilled by whichever trail(s) you choose to ride. Take it easy on the dips for the first round!
From the time you cross the bridge until the trailhead will only be about a 10 minute drive. Enjoy!!
