Does anyone know what the marble marker that says Rocky's last run May 2006 where the Brown wave splits and goes across the power line is all about? Bob

Rocky was a dog that died and his owner liked to take him to the trails.
So, he put that marker there as that was Rocky's last trail run location.
Brian Bigsby would know more details about it than what I have provided.

I can help to explain this one.... One of my co-workers is a serious runner/triathlete. He and his wife train extensively and trail running is a big part of their program, especially since they have a few dogs that they like to run with. Right after FATS opened, they were running Skinny/Brown Wave with one of their dogs, Rocky, who suddenly dropped and later died. Rocky was a fit dog who was in good shape for running, so it was a surprise that this happened. Anyway, this was quite a loss for them, and the husband had the marker made as a gift for his wife. The marker is placed close to the spot where Rocky dropped.
By the way, I'm guessing that some of you are runners in addition to riding bikes, and I'm sure you can appreciate what it takes to run the FATS loops.... I've run parts of it, the tread is great with minimal "tripping" obstacles, but man, the climbs.......
