Just curious which loop folks like the best.
My choice is Deep Step, I suppose. But it a tough choice.
I looked over my ride log the other day and figured this out. In terms of # of times I've ridden the loops, it went in this order:
Skinny, Deep Step, Great Wall, Brown Wave.

So far my favorite is the brown wave, but I still haven't ridden Deep Step yet, going to try it out tomorow, then i'll cast my vote.
So far my least favorite trail is probably Great Wall....but I've only ridden it once so far.

they are all great in my book, but for different reasons. #1.1 Great wall, because of the twisty part, the log/rock combo, that flat rock ditch crossing, all the rock gardens and last but not least the up hills on the way out. #1.2 Brown Wave, it was the First and you always remember your first #1.3 the Skinny, it's short for an after work ride. or you can add it to the G.W. & B.W. #1.4 Deep Step, I've Ridden this one twice I like it, it's fun, it's fast and you can get into real trouble real fast. I also really enjoy riding the connector back up to the parking lot especially when you add on the B.W. from the furthest (lowest) road crossing and not just because I've got a cold one on ice waiting for me.

I also really enjoy riding the connector back up to the parking lot especially when you add on the B.W. from the furthest (lowest) road crossing and not just because I've got a cold one on ice waiting for me. I think part of the reason why the Skinny Loop gets little acclaim is because alot of people view the "connector" as leaving the parking lot, crossing the first gravel road and going the quickest way to the Brown Wave. The "connector" ends at the Great Wall Loop. So, that fun DH run that so many people take to the BW is part of the Skinny Loop. Think if it like this. There are 4 distinct loops out there and 2 connector trails. Every time you cross a road, you are on a loop. The connectors never cross any roads - paved or gravel. The skulls in the banked turn are on the Great Wall Loop, not the Connector. If not this way, the Great Wall is shaped like a horseshoe and not a loop. Actually, there is no way to get on the Skinny Loop via singletrack w/o first getting on the Great Wall Loop. And no way to access the Brown Wave via singletrack w/o first getting on the Skinny Loop. Finally, the Skinny Loop and the Great Wall Loop share about 100' of common tread. I have had this conversation with 4 people lately that looked at the trails completely differently than the maps look and the way I look at them. And Jimmy's comment brought it to light here in this thread.

Think if it like this. There are 4 distinct loops out there and 2 connector trails. I like to think of it as one big loop with a little repetition. And that's my favorite loop. CCW FWIW.

So...I'd like to retract my previous statement about Great Wall being my least favorite. I rode it for the second time last night and it was much more fun than I remember it being. And on Sunday I finally rode Deep Step.
I can't choose a favorite, they're all great!
