Is the Great Wall Loop on fire or what? With all the brush clearing and hard packed red clay, it is like a road ride thru the woods. I don't think I've been on a faster trail in my life. Big ring buffet - just watch out for an occasional tree if ya get going too fast.
Life is good when you can ride 20 miles after work - all singletrack - and never cover the same ground twice.
One question though...Does it look like a motorcycle has been on parts of FATS to you? At times it looks like it to me - but then at other times it doesn't. It seems like I see a wider track doing some washing out and tread widening in the sandier spots, but that could just be alot of traffic on a really dry tread. Keep your eyes out for what could be evidence of a motorcycle at FATS. If we think it is being poached by a motorcycle, we need to get the USFS Law Enforcement on it in a hurry.

I had that sense as well Bill based on some tracks I saw during one of our rides over the past couple of weeks. I saw what struck me as motorcycle tire tracks but then I started really paying attention closely and couldn't pick up the same tread again so convinced myself my eyes were playing tricks on me!
