What a fantastic trail! I've been riding for less than a year, but this is far and away the best trail I've ever been on. The climbs are great and the quick up/downs all the way through keep you up on your feet for a good portion of the ride. I had an awesome time, despite the fact that I flew over my handlebars for the first time in my life. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard on this trail - I'll be out there with you now!

We have some work to do this weekend. Contact me if you are serious about helping. Don't need alot of people. But one or two extra would be great.

I am amazed at how quickly the line has been ridden into the open sections. The Brown Wave is full blown singletrack. And the Skinny Loop (not yet a full loop, but will be soon) still has the machine width but a distinct line has been ridden into it.
Just a warning.....there are no begginner trails at FATS. There are many, many high speed areas with technical features that can quickly get out of hand if you don't control your speed. Please ride the FATS with caution until you are comfortable with what is out there.
I rode it the day after the Grand Opening with a 7, 8 and 12 year old that all did just fine as they rode within their abilities. Granted, they may be young, but I wouldn't call any of them beginners.
Also, we don't need anymore beginer trails around here. Please don't "dumb down" the tech features to fit your abililty. This includes riding around trees and other features you are not able to ride. Please dismount and walk over these.
FATS is a great place to raise your ability to meet the demands of the trail. Lets keep our track "single". Which it will all be in a matter of months.
