Hickory Knob State Park Trail/Trails!
Can you help us on July 23rd??? Can you help spread the word??
Next up are the trails at Hickory Knob State Park! Never ride, run or hike that trail? That’s okay, if you are available come help. You just might be busy when your fav trail gets scheduled!
We will primarily be working with all 4 of our DR mowers!
Contact us at sorba.csra@gmail.com to sign up.
Reach out if you have any questions. We provide on-the-job training so you don’t have to be an experienced volunteer.
You’ve checked your summer schedule and won’t be able to volunteer at all? Please consider becoming a member of SORBAcsra. Your membership dollars helps pay for fuel for all this equipment, repairs and maintenance and drinks & snacks for these volunteers!

Update Hickory Knob Work Party - July 23
Many, many thanks to the trail warriors who came out to work on the trails at Hickory Knob State Park today> Miles St Thomas, Wayne Wasden, Erica Hanley, Duane Jennings, Dusty Newby, Brett DeLoach, Danielle Borgsmiller, Ed Farnell, Wade Long, April Crook, Max Shanks, Zach Brown, Samuel Miller,Katie Miller, Kent Daniels, John Pilcher.
Coordinators/Organizers/Equipment Handlers Daniel Allen, Brian Williams and Angela Allen.
We had an awesome blend of runners and mountain bikers as well as experienced and new volunteers!
We did not have quite enough volunteers signed up to completely work the Turkey Ridge Trail too. However, some ambitious volunteers who completed their assigned work a little early jumped in to help and Turkey Ridge was also completed!
The teams were working with 4 DR mowers, 4 string trimmers and assorted loppers!
The trails at HKSP are the only trails we have located so close to a place for refreshments right after! Back Paddle Brewing has good food and drinks and our work party team didn’t hesitate to stop by!
We still have plenty of work left to do this summer Keg Creek, FATS and Bartram…..
