They are getting the trail ready to race at the 11th Annual Canal Crown Time Trial series, and need your help! This is your chance to "earn your turn"!
They'll be mowing, weed-eating, lopping, and hedging the entire 3 mile CCTT race course, including the staging area. If they have a big enough crew for the work party, they will cut back "Razor's Edge" so it remains open for the Summer. SORBA-CSRA will be bringing their trailer full of tools, but feel free to bring your own weed-eater or hedger (bring gas and extra line).
They are driving in from the gates on the corner of Eve Street & Goodrich Street at 8am sharp. If you're running late, or you can't stay for the full duration, park at the Lake Olmstead trailhead and walk down to the back entrance of the trail by the RR tracks and spillway. If enough people come out, they should be able to knock everything out ahead of schedule.
HIGHLY recommend wearing long pants, long sleeves, boots, gloves, a hat, and protective eyewear. Bring water, snacks, and bug spray (it's tick season).
There will be a cooler full of cold drinks for everyone to enjoy afterward. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
