Much thanks to whoever did the recent work on Wine Creek (bridge wire & tree removal). The trail is all good.

I ran out of wire on the bridge. I plan on going back to cover the rest and try to shore up the boards on the ends. Not sure who cleared the trees.

Thanks Brandon. Nevin cleared the trees, most of them with a handsaw. We've been enjoying Wine and Turkey a lot these days.

We did some work on Wine today. We cut 6 non-riders and took out some brushy stuff that was closing in on the trail. Trail is WET but should be good to go after it dries (and if no trees fall in the meantime). Here are a few pics... Before (Morry going after a stick Nevin threw): After: Before: After: Before: After (note the "rider" down the trail that we kept, of course): Before (forgot to get an after shot but the dog is cute anyway): Before: After:

To help prepare for the upcoming mowathon, last Saturday we took care of a couple of trees on Wine that Daniel and Angela were unable to finish due to saw problems. Should be clear to the ravine. Very wet in places. The first bridge you come to at the Turkey Creek end looks like it sustained some damage from high water. Not sure if it's safe anymore. Trail should be good to go for the mowathon! Please volunteer if you can. This is the tree we removed Daniel's bar/chain from: Tree #2: Not sure what this is but it's cool: Debris by the bridge that is close to the ravine: Another shot of the debris:
