Just like our yards and the roads around us, we would go a very short distance before we had to stop to clear off the debris. I know Michael had to fire up the chainsaw at least 20 times to take out trees and many more times to shorten limbs to make it manageable to move them off the trail. The gravel roads have a lot of trees down, too. The parking lot and boat ramp have a few trees down: Horn Creek is running high, too. I don't think I would want to cross it:

Rode here for the first time in a while and the trail was in great shape. It was also more fun than I remembered. Maybe it was the 29er wheels handling the roots better. Last ride here I was on a hardtail 26er. Thanks to the group that cleared it recently.

We've just been informed by the USFS that Horn Creek Trail is closed for a prescribed burn.
Trail should be open on Thursday or Friday.

Trail was in great condition today. Hit the trail, a bunch of gravel and some pavement. The winds, and of course headwinds, were tough, at least until you turned around One large tree down, a very few small piles of crud. Zero muck and mud! MD

Lick Fork is in fine shape. A few small trees down but nothing unrideable.

A few of us rode Horn last week. Just a couple of non riders and a few "springy" riders. Good condition overall, just needs riders as it is rapidly growing over and greening up quickly.

Trail is in rough shape. Needs mowing in the open areas (several briar patches), a bunch of smaller trees down, several bigger trees, all step-overs. Trail is rideable but not enjoyable.

There is a tree down cw right around the two mile marker. Needs a saw, other than that, Banks and I took care of the other goods with handsaws.
