Trek has some real nice mountain and road bikes, especially with the fold-in of GF. Would like to see more of them on our trails.

What I really enjoy about their demo day is it gives me the opportunity to compare different bikes on the same trails on the same day.
Last year I did a carbon fiber versus aluminum comparison and also compared top-of-line bikes with 26" and 29" wheels.
My conclusions.
A carbon fiber frame is high in "wow" factor but from a practical point of view the small difference in ride quality and weight savings compared to a good aluminum frame does not justify the difference in price.
Call me old-fashioned if you will, but after several unsuccessful attempts at convincing myself that a 29er is better and I should buy one, I am still happily rolling along on 26" wheels.
