some nasty individual took a dump right next to the rail road ties at the main trailhead. By the fire pit. Still cleaning my shoes... I marked it so hopefully no one else "steps in it." Ugghhhhhh

I suppose it could have been, but that would have have been one HUGE dog. I am thinking Lycan is more probable. I also saw a pair of boxer shorts on ground 15 feet away close to a tree. Either way, for WED night AJ ride...but careful guys when you stop to rest. I am practicing my trackstands.  |

Another possibility is river otter scat. I have seen plenty of it along the tow path. it looks about the same as dog, 1/2 to an inch in diameter. However unlike dog, it will have the scent of rotting fish and will most likely have scales or crayfish shells in it. Here is a crappy pic of it.  |

In keeping with the poop theme, I'll offer one more possibility. It's a little far fetched, but.... Mutuant toad. Regular toads can drop a load that's a significant percentage of their body weight, so a larger than normal mutant toad could be a nasty thing indeed. Spotted this guy earlier in the summer on a walk around the neighborhood. You have to admit, that's pretty impressive.  |
