YC and I talked about a bike ride over coffee Saturday morning, and immediately decided to go hit Wine and Turkey. Those are two awesome trails, and recent work parties had them in top shape. We started out at the 283 trailhead. Once past the creek crossing, I started hitting webs. I was a little surprised since the trail looks so well ridden. Anyway, one web led to another, and then when we hit the tunnel areas, holy cow! I did numerous "little girl" screams as I got wrapped up in thick, sticky webs. Had spiders hanging off my shifters and my glasses. YUCK! Made it to Key bridge. Checked the parking lot and didn't see any cars. I had no desire to get wrapped up anymore, so we took Wine back to the car. Gee, look Ma, no webs this time! Believe it or not though, our ride was phenomenal. I told YC that it is an unreal feeling to be as old as I am and feel like a 12 year old kid once those wheels start turning. Gorgeous temps. Great trail. SALLGUD! MD
