After all the rain we had the trail is in pretty rough condition. It's drying out nicely but is has some holes and washed out areas that need filling in. Also, a lot of roots have been exposed. For the work party we will need shovels, a pick/grubbing hoe and a wheelbarrow. There is also a large tree down on the south end of the trail. I will try to take the tree out this weekend. Drew Jordan is putting together a work party this weekend. Check back on the forum for time. We need to get the trail ready for the 4th race of the Canal Crown Time Trial that will be held on Tuesday the 19th of June weather permitting.

So the plan is to meet at the trailhead at 9am this Sunday 6/17. If you want to drive to the pump house parking lot, meet at the gates at 845am. Just keep in mind we will be locking the gates behind us. So if you need to leave early, Eisenhower Park would be the best access point by vehicle.
Bring a shovel and hard rake for all the washed out stuff. Or bring some loppers or a weed eater for some of the stuff out by the ponds and near the boardwalk.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
