At first we weren't sure the weather would cooperate, but we met at the trailhead, hoping for the best. Turned out to be a beautiful morning for a ride. The dirt was "hero dirt," the temps were perfect, and we had 5 ladies come out to ride!
The rain did pick up after the ride, so rather than eating on a wet picnic table at the trailhead Julie and her family were gracious hosts and we took all our lunch fixings and headed over to their house. We had quite the spread.
As you can see in the above pic, we picked up a 6th FTF! Kate fit right in!!
After lunch, we all had the honor of hearing Becky play her guitar and sing. Wow!!! That girl is quite talented. Definitely the highlight of the whole day.
LOL....I'm "rockin'" an Alvarez. Not sure any other details except it's pretty and sounds sweet when I hit the notes right. Big thanks to Barbara and Julie for organizing this event! It was a lot of fun and we even ran into another huge Florida group (Tampa) which is camping at HKSP and riding loads of trails in the area. I hate it that it's raining for their sake. Anyway, they were all smiles yesterday.
We plan on doing the CycloFemme ride next year as well...perhaps a week earlier so mark your calendars Ladies!
