I took my 6 year old girl over to the Canal Trail last Friday and Saturday. She slayed it. She did so good on Friday....I almost took her on Razor's Edge on Saturday. (just kidding).
She is on 16" wheeled bike, and really needs to be on a 20". I am trying to hold out for another 6 weeks until her birthday. The bike she is on only has a rear coaster brake.
She can ride 95% of the trail, and has to walk a few short steep pitches that she just doesnt have the brakes to control the ride down or the power to get up. But overall, she kills it.
And on Saturday, we rolled up on JP3 and Julie fixing the big hole in the trail. They did a great job.

seenvic, you still need to post her under the "Introductions" on the FTF topic. I'd love to see a picture of her on her bike!
Big thanks, too, to JP3 and Julie. You two rock!

Impressive! I have been holding off taking my 12 year old nephew over there until he gets more acclimated to his bike but after reading your post, it seems my concerns are unfounded (we are dealing with a kid who hasnt spent much time on a bike).
Thanks a ton John and Julie for fixing that hole. It was a pain in the arse.

Thanks JP3 and Julie. I rode early Sunday and the repair was seamless. My kids love this trail too.

Now that I know who the responsible party is, thank you John for the repairs to the trail.
