Anyone interested in doing the Christmas Party ride this Saturday, weather permitting? I'd like to get started early, on the bike at 7:30. Meet at the Keg Creek parking lot. This is one of the best rides in town! Anyone???

This is one of the best rides in town! Anyone??? I may be in. I did this ride Sunday and thought it was just dandy. It truly is one of the best local rides we have. When it cools down, I'd like to add a lap to Mtoe and a lap to Keg and make it the Christmas Party 40 Ride.

Got one person mostly likely in and one definite maybe. Anyone else?
You could also just ride Keg, or meet us at the Mistletoe backdoor and just ride Mistletoe. Should be there 'bout 8:30.

A reason I like this ride: it has some distance that can be done with just water bottles, no camelbak to make me hotter. There is a water fountain in Mtoe that we ride past at about the half way point and we can refill the bottles there.

Possibly meet up at Mtoe backdoor, probably won't be able to keep up for the whole ride, but at least you guys can clear the spiders out ahead of me!

That was great.
Dustin rode the Rock Dam and should be posting a video of it.
We saw 4 other riders going CW on Keg. It was the first time any of them had ridden there.
We met Mud on the Tires at Ridge Road and rode a good part of Mtoe with him until his chain had issues. Ted S started with us, but had a flat in the first 100 yards of trail and had to call it a day.
I thought Keg was in great shape.
Mtoe has a few places that could really use a trim, but overall is in fine shape. Not a drop of water in any of the creek crossings and everyone of them is as easy as they are ever going to be right now.

Lota fun this morning. The horseflies on Keg weren't messing around though! I nearly front flipped due to an ill-timed log hop, and nearly laid it out within earshot of some hikers. But I rode the rock dam for the first time! It was totally dry. Not hard to do, bu scary looking with big consequences if you fall downstream. Of course you can't see the worst of the rocks in the video...
Go do this ride, it's awesome.
Here's the video:

The last few times i have been on Keg I have seen hikers. Great to see the trail being used. All the times I have been out there I only ran into one other rider other than folks in the group I was in.
great trail.
