There are quite a few night riders out there in the area but a lot of us tend to do that more in the late Fall, Winter and early Spring before the daylight savings time changes. Since it doesn't get dark until after 8 now that can make for a fairly late night if you get a good ride in.
Lot of good trails for it in the area!

as Angela mentioned there are many. However since day light savings I have brought my light but only had to use it once. The other option is always start early and ride thru the sunrise. Always nice to see the forest wake up.

+1 to what all the others said. A few people do night rides in the summer, but for the most part you just adapt and learn to deal with the heat. Carry more water than usual on after work rides, and start weekend rides as the sun comes up.
It helps me to ride as much as possible this time of year, while the temps slowly work their way up, you acclimate as the seasons change.
Tuesday night it was 88*F when I got to the trailhead at 6pm! We'll be doing 100+ degree rides before you know it.

send me your email and I will add you to the mailing list. A few of us go year around, different trails, usually try to start at 6 or 6:30pm, one or two days per week. At FATS tonight at 6; won't need a light this time of year.

Thanks all resonders and jtaylor, I appreciate your willingness to include me on e-mail list. axelten2000@yahoo.com From the limited time I have had to ride since being in Augusta I like what I have seen at FATS. I know that I want to ride more and was wondering about the night riding. I use to ride at night years ago and inquiring about opportunities to ride more here. Again Thank you.
