Just received this e-mail from Glen K. FATS will be back in business tomorrow morning. Yesterday, we had our fire folks checking the Forks trail area, and they said that there were several smoking stumps right along the trail in many areas. No open flames, but smoldering areas that are still very hot. Today the humidity is coming up and on into tonight even more which will help these hotspots cool down some more. So with that said, our fire manager said that we will open the trail first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks for your understanding and please help us pass the word around that the trail will open tomorrow morning.

Lots of trees fall after a burn, so if it's windy, watch out.

they call those trees "widow makers" for a reason.
