The canal is in it's prime right now. I love this trail this time of year. The trees haven't filled out yet, so plenty of light is making it to the ground, and the ground is covered in a lush green carpet of vegatation while a dark brown tacky trail winds its way between the trees...it's great! Go ride it before it turns back into a tunnel!
Met up with the AJBW crew for the Weds night canal ride last night and had a great time, gotta love daylight savings time! We rode down from the shop, did 3 full laps of the trail, then headed back. No need for lights till we hit the tow path on the way back to the shop. Those without lights bailed after two laps. Soon lights wont be needed at all.
Got a few pics with my phone...all were blurry of course.
Hope to get out there again soon with a real camera to get better pics.
This will be a dark tunnel in a few weeks.
Alyssa (spelling?) and Drew's speed was no match for the iPhone camera. The 29er SS crew was in full effect last night!
Big turn out this week, with riders of all ability levels.
