Mark your calendar: April 3rd. Gotta knock this beast out before the brutal summer heat sets in for good. Has anyone ridden the whole thing yet? I know a few people have done Petersburg to Mistletoe and back, but I haven't heard of anyone doing ALL of Bartram + Keg + Mistletoe in one ride. Let me know if you're interested, we'll figure out a SAG drop plan once we get closer to the date.

I'm thinking about this. April 2 is my birthday. I've got at least 51 miles in me that day. 60+ will be pushing it, but we'll see.

My money is on Wooglin as the first Clarks Hill Epic finisher.
I may be live on the SC side, but I like the GA name for the lake better. :-)
I did the Pburg to Mtoe and back to Pburg a few weeks ago. It is what I set out to do that day. When I got back to Pburg, the thought of pedaling on to and from West Dam was not thrilling. Doable...yes. Fun....no.
I came away thinking this may not be a ride I ever complete....in a day.
Mistletoe is the best part of the ride, I think.

When I got back to Pburg, the thought of pedaling on to and from West Dam was not thrilling. Doable...yes. Fun....no. That's why I want to start at West Dam. No temptation to quit early. Have also thought about starting at Keg, doing the Christmas party ride, then on to West Dam and back. Get Mtoe out of the way early, while still fresh. It's the best part of the ride, but also the most demanding. But...I like the idea of starting at one end, riding to the other, then coming back.

You could park at 'Burg ride to the dam and back, restock ride to Washington rd, restock on to keg, mistletoe, keg, restock back to the 'Burg.

Count me in.
Out and back is easy enough with cooler and supplies left at Keg. And water and junk for sale at mistletoe.

If I were riding it solo, driving from NA, I would drop SAG at West Dam, drive on to Keg, do the Christmas Party ride, then Bartram out & back. Bartram out and back at the end would be mentally tough, though.

Are we moving this to the 3rd?

Yep, lets change it to the 3rd since that seems to work better for some, and some don't care either way. First post in the thread updated.

Well crap. Never having ridden any of this, is there a good map or cue sheet so I can do it solo? Can't change my birthday.

Do you have a GPS?
I can put together a cue-sheet. Need to anyways.

No on the GPS. That would be too easy.

I figured. I'll put together a cue sheet.
Only a few tricky spots, most inside Mistletoe.

That'd be appreciated. Can't guarantee I'll be out there, but it will be good to have the option for sure.

Got a late Start, Didn't start pedaling till 11:45, stayed up to late watching Syracuse in the tournament and drinking beer. Great day out there, left a cooler at keg, refueled there both ways and had an ice cream at Mistletoe. nearly ran out of Day light, finished at 6:48. Jumped in the lake at dusk, the water is fricken cold, wow. Post ride gluttony in progress. ;D Stella gets back in a few Hours, best get the chicken grease off the keyboard.

Nice job man! Congrads on being the first to ride it! I was wondering if you'd run out of light when you sent me that text earlier today. Did you ride Lake Springs both ways or just one?
Seven hours and three minutes - that's the current record. Now someone go beat it!!
I'll be happy to finish in under 8 LOL.

To be an official "Clark's Hill" Epic (I'm with seenvic on the name) do you have to ride just Rock Dam loop at Mistletoe, or get in all of the singletrack out there. And if you have to hit all of the singletrack, what is the best route / way to effectively complete it? I am waiting on a new FS frame to come in, it should be here next week, and then I may have to test myself on the epic. Thanks for the input guys!

You link Rock Dam and Cliatt Creek to make a big loop in mistletoe.
I usually turn right onto rock dam from the connector, ride till you get to the big rocky creek crossing, cross it, then turn right onto the cliatt creek loop. Take it around past the office, then at the big deep creek crossing go across and stay right back onto the rock dam loop.
