That guy's a chump. But he did notice that the trail gnomes were out there working on a big honkin' pine tree about 7 miles in on Turkey Creek. Not particularly effective, but nothing a bigger chain saw won't handle. Helluva job on the bridge though.

You mentioned the pics were taken in McCormick County.......where is that broken bridge.........I don't recognize it??? That's the Lick Fork loop. There's a carry at either end (and some in the middle) so nobody seems to ride it. Anybody know what's up with that clearcut-and-plowed lane through the trees on Horn Creek? It leads straight down the fall line to the trail by the pond in (I think) Section 2 and is erosion just waiting to happen.

I ride the Horn Creek trail a lot and have never seen that bridge. Now there is a hiker's only trail that you can get to by crossing the creek near the end of the trail in section 5 that goes around the lake is that where the bridge is?

I've never seen a sign that says hikers only though. There is a new sign there, but I didn't even read it.

That is the Lick Fork Lake Hiking Trail..................it should be marked but I've never been on it since I know it is a hiking trail and not kept up very well. The next time you ride it would you check and see if it is marked as a hiking trail only. I know the Forest Service doesn't want us biking on it but if it isn't marked that will continue to happen. Here is the information about that trail: www.fs.fed.us/r8/fms/rec/LFHiking.pdf
