SORBA-CSRA is setting up a trip to Tsali July 9 - 11th......there will be campers and those that don't wish to camp ......there will be people of all ability levels..........if you want information about the trip or wish to participate in this out-of-town trip you can email dan-angelaallen@comcast.net This is all contingent upon the weather but the temps in the mountains are running about low 80's right now and I can provide information on length and trail type for the four loops, also info on accomodations......etc

I was talking to the guy that runs the appalachian outfitters in greenville he said that him and some friends went to tsali the other weekend and the trails were great except that in someplaces the undergrowth had closed in on the trail and it was like going through a tunnel wish i could go

Daniel and I were just there a little over a week ago and there is definitely some overgrowth mostly on Right/Left Loop side (Thompson and Mouse had some but it did not ruin the ride) but we still had a great time and the trails themselves were in good condition also heard there was going to be some trail maintenance going on soon - hopefully before this ride. You are certainly welcome to join us if you'd like!

Our group is very diverse in terms of riding ability and length of time riding.............we will start a series of rides this fall (we do this every year) called the "Explore the Trail Series" we hold a ride usually the first Saturday or Sunday (dependent on hunting season and the trail we chose) in the month and visit a different trail in the area each month (we have about 100 miles of trails in this area)...........if you'd like to send me an individual message I'd be happy to put your name on the list and let you know when those rides are coming up.........we have everything from very novice (have only been on a mountain bike once or twice) to our hard core guys that will get out and do 100 mile mountain bike rides or participate in the Assault on Mt. Mitchell, etc. everyone is welcome.............we leave no one behind.

Fantastic..........the weather was beautiful......we had a good turnout of campers and others so the company was great..........in general the trails were in really good condition but they do need some chainsaw work and some lopping in some sections - definitely much cooler than here right now and the lake water was perfect temperature for after ride dipping

Paula and I are planning to head up there over the Labor Day weekend. It's not a done deal yet, but we'll most likely be going.
We'd be arriving Thursday early afterrnoon and staying until Sunday morning.
If any of you will be up there during this time, let us know.
