After getting all of the SMC trails in order, Keg should be our next priority. There is a lot of growth encroaching on the trail that could use some hedging. A few spots could use the DR, I'm just not sure if it is worth the effort to get one in to those spots. Winter will take care of a lot of the weedy/grassy stuff.

I would be glad to help out on Keg. It looks to me like someone has been doing a great job getting rid of fallen limbs and trash.

Dale Parrot is the unofficial trail keeper. You need to ride it sometime with him and get the history, landmarks, etc. Having more intimate knowledge of trails make the rides more interesting to me.
There are a couple of projects coming up as soon as the weather cools. There will be some cutting and Dale wants to build a rock crossing at the low spot where there are sticks and rocks randomly thrown in right now. Keep an eye out here and Dale will post when he wants to do it.

Keg was in great shape this morning as BrianW said on another thread. We cut one hanging branch and pulled another hanging limb down. We rode the rest of the trail without having to stop. I was suprised at how dry it was with all the recent rain. There were no wet spots in any of the dips or any mud at all. Great trail, go ride it.

Thanks Wala and Brian for clearing the cobwebs; there were very few remaining/rebuilt when I rode through after you. Not only was the trail in great shape, but most of the roots were dry ;D

I think it must have rained from my house back towards Evans last night. We rode Hickory Knob this morning and it was dry as a bone.
