We need a few folks for Saturday, July 12 to help with the Bartram Trail Extension project. This is extending Bartram from the Petersburg Campground trailhead to the Columbia Co Water Works Road, estimated at 2 1/2 miles. We'll meet at P'burg and ferry everyone in a minimum of vehicles to CC WW Rd where we'll start and go straight through to P'burg. I'll coordinate with the COE to gain access through the locked gate at CCWW Rd. We'll cut out the downed trees and use dirt tools to chop the odd small stump, and dress the dips. I'll need a headcount to bring enough pulaskis and macleods.

Handbuilders unite?
Should be a good opportunity for the hand build crowd to get what they want.
But if I was a bettin' man......

Handbuilders unite? Should be a good opportunity for the hand build crowd to get what they want. But if I was a bettin' man...... WTF was that comment for? Why are you busting on someone who wants something from the guts? Listening to you talk, that's where your heart was ten years ago. It had ZEEERRRROOO to do with money. Zero. Someone whose 100% best interest is riding a mountain bike and not his 401k? Not all trails need to be million dollar land grant trails. Some may just indeed come from grass roots. Come from the guts. Like DP's desires... Good for you Dale. Lots of hours over the past several years with very little recognition. You obviously have made good with some local land managers (as per IMBA rules/regs). You are working with land managers to build some very nice, very flowing trails. I applaud you. I was camping at Petersburg a few weeks ago and headed across the paved road to the new trails you are building. Fun! Michael

Is there a game plan in place for putting the big bridge back in place that got swept off its foundation before Bike Feast ? It's wedged "past" a tree that may require a little disasembling before moving back up stream ? Thought a few of us could pick it up and move it , I was wrong .

Paul Farrow is organizing a plan/team to reset the bridge. I've proposed lifting the displaced end with a sling / come-along attached to the large overhanging tree and then pulling it the several feet laterally with another tug. Yes, there's a lot of lumber in that bridge and it's heavy.
