Two trees down on Deep Step. Clock wise just after the power lines. This is right after a blind curve on top of a drop w/ branches. I almost crashed into it. Talked to another group in the lot with the same.
Second one is a non-rider about 10 minutes further down the trail. It is in about the same area as one that was removed a few months back.
On a positive note, the road crossings now have bike signs. Didn't notice these before.

Thanks for the heads up. Took care of them today. Got out just as the rains hit...

Thank you so much. I need to get myself a small folding saw and place it in my hrydration pack so I can clear the stuff I cannot drag off. Thanks again. -brianW

Speaking of hand saws...
I ordered a Silky Sugoi this week. Fifty-five bucks. Should be in sometime this coming week. I have two different Echo chainsaws that get used quite frequently around here, but I wanted a quality handsaw I could stash in my Camelbak to cut 3" - 7" trees and limbs. I did a bit of research and ended up reading a lot in Arboristsite.com. Those guys seemed to recommend the Silkys a lot!
I bought a cheapie folding saw last year that was woefully inadequate. Hoping this Silky is in a different league.
Within the next six months I will report back on here with my experiences.
