The last round of the FATS time trial series is now complete, and I would really like to thank the Shivelys and all the SORBA-CSRA volunteers who made this happen. I know I really had fun with this, and I thought it was a great way to experience FATS from a somewhat different angle. Things were well organized, and this was about as stress-free as a competitive event can be, yet it was still all bizness once young Miss Shively (the one with tattoos) gave the word to "GO"! . Props to Josh, Allen and Alice for their wins (I dont want to start any doping rumors, but...) and more props to everyone else who gave it their best and pushed hard to trim a few more seconds off of their time. For those who missed it, we raced, we laughed, we ate free food, drank free beverages, made some new friends, cheered each other on, talked trash and carried on in general. I hope we do it again soon.

I agree. It was a blast!
I applaud the effort of the Shivleys, the volunteers and all the riders.
I had fun and hope it happens again.
One last comment...I wish the last round had not happened as the trails didn't need the traffic last night. Not a biggie, but if SORBA doesn't know when the trails are too wet to ride, how do we expect the general population to? My only regret was not getting off the trails sooner than I did. It certainly wasn't a mud bath, but the soft spots are certainly deeper now and more likely to hold more water next time.

I want to thank everyone that came out in support of the event.
Prior to starting the last leg last night I talked with a rider that came in and said that overall the trail was in good condition. Next time we have an event I will get there earlier and ride the route to make sure it's appropriate to go. I am the last person that wants to screw up all of the work we did to build the trails.
Best Regards,
Ray Shivley
