Looking for some miles, mostly singletrack, but with a break onto the gravel and pavement?
Here is a 33 mile loop at FATS...with all the bottom to top riding being done on the paved and gravel roads and all the top to bottom riding being done on the trails. Off course there will still be some climbing on the trails, but most trail riding will be generally downhill.
Start in the lot. Right onto the Deep Step lollipop stick. Left onto the Deep Step Loop (CW). Right onto Deep Step Rd and ride it up the hill and turn left back onto the Deep Step Loop at the gate. Ride back down to Deep Step Rd and turn left onto Deep Step Rd. Ride this all the way back to Woodlawn. Right onto Woodlawn and right into the parking lot.
Thru the parking lot, to the Great Wall CCW. Ride about 4.5 miles on the GW, past the spot where the river is on your right and turn left off the trail onto an a path the ditchwitches made up to a grassy rd. Right onto this grassy rd. This comes out on 662A. Up 662A and turn right back onto the Great Wall going CW. Ride down the GW CW to this exact same location. Out of the woods, and back up 662A.
Turn right off 662A onto the trail and take it to the Skinny. Ride the Skinny CW, and then transition into the Brown Wave going CCW. Ride the BW all the way to the first road crossing and turn left onto 662D. Ride 662D to 662 and turn right and ride all the way up the hill and turn left onto 662A. Turn left into the trail and get on the Skinny going CCW. Then make the transition to the Brown Wave going CW. At the same road crossing, turn right onto 662D, up the hill, right onto 662 and all the way back to the parking lot.
I think that is 33 miles with all the trails being ridden in the mostly DH direction and all the "big climbs" being done on the roads.
Kinda like it is when you go to Pisgah.
3 loops = 100 miles.
