Ok, we have all driven by it 1000 times on the way to the trails. Formerly known as the "High Roller", the Falls Cafe is the little motel/restaurant on the left about 5-6 miles into SC.
I have stopped in there on several occassions in the morning on the way up to the trails to grab a quick breakfast. I usually just get a quick sandwich to go as I am running late for the ride. Based on the quality of what I have had, I would say the place is worthy of a stop if you need to eat something.
Last time I was in there, I mentioned the FATS to John (owner) and he was pumped up about it. He asked what he could do to help get it done. He went to tell me of his efforts to energize the Clarks Hill community based on services to people using the lake and forest.
So, here we have a business owner just up the road from what will be our greatest trail. He is on the way to alot of the other trails for those that take Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry Road). We will need folks like John to be on our side as we add trails and increase the number of visitors to the area.
I think if we stop there occassionally and eat (we all gotta eat), John will start to make the connection between the bikes on your car, the trails, and you coming to his place of buisness. Win/win for all?

That's ironic - we were talking last weekend about that place wondering what it was like - now we know. We have a place close by where we can stop by for a bite and help a mtb friend as well!
