Driving up to park at Eisenhower Park to access the Augusta Canal MTB trail this afternoon, I encountered a policeman getting some information from two cars that had had their windows busted out. This was in broad daylight and occurred probably around 4pm in the afternoon. There has been repeated evidence of windows being broken out of cars before (ie glass on the ground) but I'd never seen the cars before. In talking to the police he said it had been an increasing problem for the past three months and seems to be getting worse. I decided to park at the other end of the park at the parking lot nearest the entrance rather than take a chance (I've never seen broken glass on the ground at that parking lot). This type of crime always seems to increase this time of the year when criminals set out to steal things (money, purses, gifts, anything not nailed down) to give their loved ones for Christmas.......use caution so you can avoid becoming a victim
