Modoc currently has about 20 trees down, several debris fields (from when the trail was under water - the creek crested 35 feet in February), a bridge out of place and 2 swampy areas. Work on this trail will has been started and will be ongoing to get it cleared.

Trees have been removed off Modoc for the first 2 miles, displaced bridge has been replaced but there are still 11 trees to be removed on the last half of the trail, otherwise the trail is in good shape.

Nearly 40 trees have been removed off the Modoc Trail in the past month, currently the trail is clear of trees (subject to change at any time) but with all the rain the overgrowth on this trail is already abundant.
We are planning a work party at Modoc this Friday morning. We will be working with DR mowers, string trimmers, etc. and still need a couple more volunteers. If you are able to help us, please contact us at sorba.csra@gmail.com
Thank you!
