In regards to armoring the seeps at FATS.....Deep Step Loop has a few places on it that are really ripe for the picking. Plenty wet and plenty of rock nearby to armor it with.
There are 3 places that come to mind on Deep Step that need work. There may be more to do there, but three places stick out in my mind. Two are on the CCW DH and one is on the CW DH. Two of these three are pretty wet and have rock close enough to be moved by hand (with rock bags, of course). The third spot isn't as wet as it is ugly.....just some ruts cutting thru the sandy soils that should be filled in w/ rock.
How about this Sunday at 11 AM we fix at least the two wet spots and perhaps the ugly dry spot.
I need about 6 people to do the two spots and 8 people to do all three (similtaneously). It will take 2 hours to do this. Then we ride.
Who's in?

I'm up for it. One question; why so late in the morning? Maybe it's just me.

Depending on the temperature in the morning, I figured later better than early.
Early birds can ride first...then help us.

No tools needed I believe. Just bring gloves, boots, and protective eyewear.

I'll be there, any tools we need to bring? I know you like to bring the sharpest pulaski in the CSRA....so bring that! We've got four so far, including me. Also, bring a bike to ride afterwards.

Me, Troy, Todd, Scott Britt, Brian Bigsby, Robert Fields and Jon Taylor got most of what we set out to do done. We got the two spots on the CCW DH armored very nicely. Geogrid under the seeps we armored and the dry ugly spot made less ugly.
Thanks for coming out.
Looks like the Skinny should the next target.
