Has anyone gone to Croft State Park in Spartanburg, SC to ride/camp? Wife and I have a rare weekend without kids and are thinking of going there. Paris Mt. was a thought but trails are closed to mt biking on Saturdays.

I have to go to Spartanburg for work quite often, and usually try to ride Croft/Southside while I'm there. The trails on the croft side are all horse trails. The mountain bike trails are across the creek from the Croft park, but are accessible via a large bridge.
I don't know much about the camping, but the trails are great. The main loop is about 9 miles, with several alternate routes that intersect it. I think total miles are around 20. Most if the trail is very eroded, with exposed roots, rocks and ruts. It's not a beginner trail. Not a lot of climbing, no more than around here, but fairly technical. There is a 3 mile section near the creek that is flat and fast. Let me know if you end up going, I'll give you some route suggestions.

I am tuning in late on this one but will go ahead and add to what WALA had to say in case others are interested in riding at Croft. I ride there a lot and will second his opinion on the Southside Loop being an excellent ride. It is by far my favorite trail in the Upstate.
On the opposite side of the park from Southside is the Croft passage of the Palmetto trail. It’s a there and back of about seven miles but I usually add to it and end up with 15 miles or so.
By the way, it was known as Camp Croft during World War II and serious military training took place there. Be sure and stay on designated trails as there is still unexploded ordnance yet to be removed. A company specializing in bomb disposal comes in every year and clears more acreage and as a result the trail system continues to grow. If you decide to ride off trail, invite someone you don’t like along and have them ride about 100 yards ahead (just kidding).
The yet-to-be-cleared areas are inside the park and well marked. The Southside Loop was cleared years ago.
