Absolutely! We could use a course marshal or two. But why not participate? It's all for good fun, it's not a serious race at all. This is the perfect race for non-racers.
Last year the two most competitive guys were two friends of mine, we all worked together and car pooled even. One hadn't ridden in 7 years, the other didn't even own a mtn bike, he borrowed mine. They were the slowest two guys at every race, but they gave it all they could just to try and beat each other for bragging rights. There was lots of trash talking at work between the races haha.

its just going to be a big rush to get there after work. I may bring my bike and just do it for fun. At least the entry fee will help with signage.

I'm in if I can find a sitter. Thursdays are the wife's tennis lesson nights. I had a blast last year, even though I was slower than most.

You can find a someone to watch them for 15 minutes while you turn a lap. I rolled the dice on the first one last year and did that. It worked. I think Mrs Kogel looked after them for me. Had it not worked, I would have just hung out. My kids loved the scene. And that is a big reason for me to come back. All that said, not sure how old your kid(s) are.

Tie'em to a tree.. That's what I'm gonna do.. My wife would KILL ME if she knew I said that.. Actually do know a guy who told his son to sit under a tree while he did a cross race one time.. Yeah, not good, but the kid didn't move..

I'm out...still not back up to speed although I have been riding. This Thursday will be 10 weeks out from brain surgery and well quite frankly I dont feel like racing. I'm trying to get my 6 y/o to come out and race instead so you may see us at some point but not this week. Good luck and have fun!

Cant make it. G/f's brother and their parents are coming to my house for dinner. I would ditch, but her grandmother is flying in today and I would like to continue to live. Fail.
