I did not realize they ride fixies. If it didn't need to be smooth Modoc Speedway is availibe.

Enjoyed the article, and thoroughly enjoyed the video. Have watched some track racing on TV recently, and find it amazing. It is such a unique way to race. Lots of cat and mousing around, before exploding.

I don't know if there are any other track racers in the area except Phil and me...if you have any questions or want more info ask away. I got into track racing in Japan. Keirin is a national sport there and it's one of the three things on which Japanese citizens can gamble (horses and pachinko). I was the first gaijin to race at the velodrome in Okinawa...I was invited by the owner and needless to say I felt a little out of place.
It's fast, it's dangerous and I honestly think it will be a huge hit in the CSRA.
