With regret I report the passing of SORBA member and outdoor enthusiast Ken Brosseau. Ken died yesterday on the Brown Wave while riding with friends. It appears that he died of natural causes. He and Steve Shelton have been working hard for the past couple of months clearing the drains/dips out at Fats so I think of them each time I ride. Wishing his family well and hope good memories ease their pain.

The priest at my church was the first rider to come upon Ken. The whole sermon today revolved around the recollection of the experience. He was really shaken up by it (heck, who wouldn't be).
I think it is very cool that the Brosseau family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to SORBA-CSRA.

That is very generous of his family - they must truly know how much he loved mountain biking. There is something very touching about the first person coming up on him being a priest.

I just read about Ken in Edgefield paper. I don't know if I knew Ken, but he and his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.
I know this sounds trite, but the article stated he died from natural causes, so at least he went out enjoying the trails he apparently dearly loved.
In my prayers,
Iron Heart.
