I need to find something for 2 dogs to guard.
About 2 1/2 years ago, I stopped along a country road and picked up four stray puppies. The 5th one was already dead in the road. I found homes for 2 of them, and ended up with the other 2. That was not the plan.
I don't think we can take these 2 dogs into NA with us. They are outside dogs, and are great guard dogs. They have never been in a pen, on a lease, lived in the house or had any sort of training. They are nice dogs, but have led a "country life" up to this point.
The ideal situation is a country setting with something to guard. These dogs won't let anything near what they are in charge of. Or at least it seems that way. Yet they are fine being around our three young children.
If you know of a situation that would be good for these two boys, please let me know. I'd like to keep them together if we can. They've been together all their lives up to this point.
They are mutts, but look like a golden lab, sorta.

Great home found with a veteran in Aiken. Not sure who is happier, us or the new owner. It worked out great.
