We had a pretty fair turnout of 12 people participate in yesterday's Explore the Trails Series Ride at HKSP. The weather was beautiful and the trail for the most part was dry with a few muddy spots thrown in to be expected this time of year. This is a very scenic trail as it hugs about a half dozen points that extend out into Clark's Hill Lake. Although I guess that would be Strom Thurmond Lake since we were on the South Carolina side! You get to see a lot of nice views of the lake on this ride. With its several stream and log crossings, it adds just enough technical challenges to make it interesting. There's even a couple of places where you have to keep yourself on a ledge which can be difficult when you are busy looking at the view. Many thanks to Angela for bringing those famous cookies! :)Hope the turnout for our next EtT ride is a little better and for those of you who missed it yesterday, keep an eye on the website for notification of the next event.
