Rode Bartram and the canal trail since the big storm and I gotta speak up for the folks with chain saws. Fellow riders, we are lucky to have some truly unselfish members among us. I'm talking about those who, after a big storm grab their saws and head out to the trails and clear the downfall so the rest of us can ride. No one asks them and no one stands over them cracking a whip, they just do it for the love of the sport. Anyone who has ever ran a chainsaw knows just how much work is involved to cut up a large tree...plus the fact that they have to haul a saw miles just to get to the tree. They are truly a unselfish breed who deserve a large pat on the back along with a great big ATTABOY. I for one am totally greatful to them one and all. Sorry I can't pin the "hero" lable on you, thats reserved for our ground troops, people who plunge into icy waters to save a fellow human kind or some innocent creature and of course nuclear workers from Japan who stay at their post and try to prevent a meltdown even when faced with certain death. However... you are a rare breed! Thanks

No doubt. Riding thru Bartram & Keg was impressive. Also, I've ridden BR&T pre and post storm....wow. And I know MD cut the largest tree I've ever seen on any trail in my life off of TC. It is hard work. And I say a big thank you as well to the sawyers and the swampers.
I just renewed my dues. Hope you have too.
