Just to show how things change in nature - since FATS opened Skinny has been the trail to dry the slowest and to have active seepage that made us encourage people to hold off riding it until last when riding the loops after rain.
We rode Skinny yesterday and there were maybe 10 spots that either needed a bit of work or that would dry up naturally as the water table drops.
Riding Great Wall today - there were double or maybe even triple the number of soggy places on Great Wall. Many will dry up naturally as the water table drops and the others might need some additional work. Just surprised to see that flip flop!
Looks like most people are doing a pretty good job of staying in the center of the trail.....so important when riding through those wet spots helps keep the trail maintenance down so it is much appreciated.
A ten foot section of trail that has been widened and mucked up so that simple drying out will no longer be enough can take hours to repair. Between trying to get the material into the spot and just the hike to the spot and then the prep work and actual armoring..........it can take 3 or 4 people 3 or 4 hours for just that one small section.

great wall always has lots of muddy spots almost every time i ride it, especially down near the river.
You can ride skinny or great wall and they might be sopping wet, but go over to big rock and its dry as dust. love that trail
