We will have a tent, etc out at FATS on Saturday for our first membership drive for April. Our new president would like to grow membership to the 200+ member mark and I think we can easily push it over the top on Saturday.
If you are already a member stop by our tent to say hi and grab a cookie or bring by a new prospective member so we can tell them what IMBA-SORBA is all about!
This wasn't planned but apparently there will be a chainsaw demonstration in the parking lot at some point on Saturday morning (thanks to that storm early Tuesday morning).
This is a great month to drive membership - we are getting reports right now that there are a lot of trees down on our trails. This becomes a true example of how effective having a large number of people working together can be. We have equipment and USFS certified chainsawyers (the only folks who can wield a chainsaw on Forest Service land) that we will be putting in the woods over the next month or two getting the damage cleaned up. Come join us! See you on Satruday...

I'm working Saturday, but if anybody is going to cut trees another time, let me know. I don't have a USFS cert, but I can help move cut material By the way, I have access to a chainsaw, what do I have to do to get a certification? And is a cert needed for COE land?
