Who loves there shoes? What ya sporting? I need new shoes. Does anyone have any experience with Mavic. The Mavic razors are on sale seems like a good deal. Is it worth it to spend more for Sidi shoes?? I have been using pearl Izumi, they were ok but wore out in about a year+.

You wear everything out in less than a year. I've only had shimano and speciaqlized and both have held up fine.
My shimano's are two years old now and just starting to show wear. Paid less that 100 for them.
Specialized defrosters are like new after two seasons.

It took me about 2.5yrs to wear out my old Shimano shoes, and now I've got some Specialized that seem to be holding up at least as well, too early to tell really. I like the fit of the Specialized better tho, with that 'varus wedge' or whatever they call it.

SIDI expensive but i've had mine 10+ years so i'd have to say they are worth it. They are comfortable, I wear a 13B, so them being a little narrow has never bothered me.

Been using Specialized Body Geometry shoes for probably 10 years now. I replace them every two or three years. They are not useless when replaced, but something new and exciting has come out and I want the new. Absolutely love them. Great quality, great fit.
Tried Sidi shoes, and if you have narrow feet, they may be for you. Providing you like a narrow, flat shoe with no arch support. If you want a shoe to keep for 10 years...
Tried Answer (oops, 25 years ago). Tried Lake. Tried Pearl Izumi. Tried Shimano. Keep going back to Specialized. Just remember that putting a pair on and walking around in a shop is NOT what they are made for. Put a pair on and spin. That's what they are made for.

I personally do not own the 5 fingers, but I do have a buddy of mine who will wear nothing but the 5 fingers to run in. He claims that the snug fit gives enough support and the way the shoes are designed he says it feels better than any pair of running shoes he has ever owned. I tend not to run unless something is chasing me, so I may never know!

I have not run with my 5 fingers but use them around town, karate class and some local hiking. Love them. To be honest they feel better on the trail than pavement. I have not trail run (or any other form of running) for a few years but after wearing them am tempted again.
When I first bought them I only wore them an hour or two til me feet got used to them. You do use different muscles.
